Mixed media... Eh?

It's the Army of Darkness playing card: Good Ash and Bad Ash. Hail to the king, baby.

This is a silly/serious project I did during the month of September, 2002. I took a polaroid of myself every morning when I got up, to document my "morning-hair". It sort of evolved into being more a study of my facial expressions (and moods), every morning. At first, I just put the polaroids up on a closet door, then I made it into this final piece when I gave it to my brother as a gift.

The two pieces below are creations from a "metalworking" class I took sometime in between undergrad and grad school.
In the first, each piece of metal is attached to each other and then onto a piece of shaped plastic, raised-up from the surface. Wolves, moons, telescopes. The second is a little jar thing, made of copper and nickel, and the two little domes are actually silver.
