Ceiling ArtWhen I lived in Long Beach, for the last year or so before moving to LA, I had an apartment to myself, with very white walls. I wasn't allowed to paint the walls bright colors, so I decided to create color spaces with fabric on the ceilings: different color schemes for the different spaces.
My bedroom I hung with blues. (Check out the abstract drawing I made of this in the "pencil" section.)
In my dining room I used greens.
And my livingroom ceiling I made into a kind of fabric river with mostly neutral beige, white, pink, and some strong reds interspersed. There were a lot of thumbtack holes to putty over when I moved out. |
